Endangered Species Piping Plover (Adult Female) by William Dalton on Flickr.

This is the mother of the Piping Plover chick that I previously posted (see pic below). Her chick kept moving so fast that she (and I) had a hard time keeping up with him. I had hoped to get a shot of both the adult and chick together but my rule is one hour and I’m gone. I do this as not to place too much stress on the birds.The Piping Plovers are on the United States Endangered Species List and may become extinct. I pray they survive.
